Quick answer
What do the Copperstrait terms cover?
Copperstrait rents whole dedicated servers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. Terms run 30 days, 3, 6 or 12 months, settled from a prepaid crypto balance, with no KYC. DomaineGoat LLC, a Panamanian company, sells them, and Panamanian law governs the contract. Each datacenter stays bound by its local law. A person prepares every server. Lapsed servers are wiped after 7 days, and breaches of the acceptable use policy end in suspension.
1. Who is the seller, and what do these terms cover?
The seller is DomaineGoat LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Panama. It sells and runs Copperstrait: the servers, the https://copperstrait.com website and the dashboard. In this text, "we" refers to DomaineGoat LLC and "you" to the account holder.
These terms bind you from the moment you create an account, top up a balance or use a server. Three linked policies carry the same force as these terms: the refund policy, the privacy policy and the acceptable use policy.
2. Who may rent a server?
- Accounts are open to adults of 18 and over.
- We do not serve residents or companies of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Yemen or Western Sahara, nor the occupied regions of Ukraine.
- Sanctioned people and companies cannot open an account, and an account cannot be used on their behalf.
- You must be able to enter a binding contract under the law of the place where you live.
3. How does my account work?
An account number is enough to sign in; adding an email address is up to you. No KYC: you upload no ID, no selfie and no documents, and give no card or phone number.
- Whoever holds the account number controls the balance and every server on the account.
- Your account number is the key to your account, so store it well. If you add an email it can be recovered; if you do not, a lost number is gone for good.
- Any action taken with your account number or SSH keys counts as yours.
- Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat.
4. What exactly do I rent?
Dedicated servers in Asia: one whole physical machine per customer, in the city of your choice, with root access and nothing shared. The processor, memory and disks are reserved for your machine; no neighbour shares them.
- Access: Root over SSH from the first minute: add a public key at checkout and password login stays disabled, or leave it out and a temporary root password comes with the server, to be changed when you first log in.
- Systems: Install Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux, or Proxmox VE to split the machine into your own virtual servers. Windows is not offered. Images: Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10 and Proxmox VE 9.
- Disks: On two-disk servers the system is mirrored in software RAID 1 unless you ask support, before delivery, for RAID 0 or separate disks.
- Console: No IPMI or KVM-over-IP console is given to customers; the team runs the reboots and reinstalls you request in the dashboard.
- Cities: Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo (Japan): every server in every city, at the same price.
- Plans: Strait 16 $143.25, Strait 32 $356.25, Strait 32F $828.68, each price for 30 days. The processor, memory, disks and traffic of each plan are on the Copperstrait pricing page.
- Terms: Rent a server for 30 days, 3 months (91 days, 10% off), 6 months (182 days, 20% off) or 12 months (365 days, 30% off): a longer term is the 30-day price times 3, 6 or 12, less the discount, rounded down to the cent (Strait 16: $386.77 for 3 months, $687.60 for 6, $1,203.30 for 12). A renewal keeps your term and starting price unless you pick another term for the next renewal in the dashboard.
- Requests: Use the dashboard to ask for a reboot, a reinstall or a cancellation, and the team carries it out; a reinstall clears every disk.
5. How do prices and payment work?
Prices are in US dollars and published on the pricing page, for 30 days and for each longer term. There is no setup fee, on the first order or on any renewal.
- You pay in crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. Monero and Lightning payments are not accepted.
- A payment tops up a prepaid balance, with a minimum of $25. Each rental term is then paid from that balance.
- Match the payment page exactly: amount, address and network. Coins sent over the wrong network may never arrive.
- The blockchain fee of each transfer is yours to pay.
- Every incoming payment is screened against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses; payments from a listed address are not credited.
- A new price applies to new orders only. A term already paid keeps the price it was bought at.
6. When is a server prepared and delivered?
Someone on the team sets the machine up once your payment is confirmed, within 72 hours, so delivery is not instant; the dashboard tracks it until the IP address shows. Setup time: 72 hours at most from payment confirmation.
Your term is counted from delivery rather than from payment. When preparation fails, no server exists and the full price remains as balance (see the refund policy). Ask for RAID 0 or separate disks before the server is ready; after that, a new layout needs a reinstall.
7. How do renewal, suspension, cancellation and wiping work?
You pay each server ahead from your crypto balance for one of four lengths picked at checkout: 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. With auto-renew on, that length is charged again at your starting price, unless you switch the next renewal to another length in the dashboard; if the balance cannot pay it, the server powers off when the length runs out, keeps its disks for 7 days, then is wiped.
- Renewing early: the dashboard takes a renewal at any moment of a term.
- Without auto-renew: the machine stops once the term is over; its disks stay intact for 7 days.
- Coming back in time: renewing within those 7 days brings the server back as it was. Past the seventh day, the disks are erased for good.
- Cancelling: cancelling hands the machine back and erases it; unused days are lost.
- Reinstalling: the disks are erased and the system you pick goes on them.
8. Who is responsible for my data?
You are. Backups are not part of the service: keep copies of your data on another machine. Once a reinstall, a cancellation or the 7-day grace period has erased a disk, its data is gone. RAID 0 and separate disks keep no mirror, so a dead disk takes its data with it.
9. What are the rules for network, traffic and email?
- Every server has a 1 Gbit/s port with a monthly traffic allowance (Strait 16 20 TB, Strait 32 20 TB, Strait 32F 30 TB), one dedicated IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64; going past the allowance never triggers an automatic bill. No China-optimised route (CN2) is sold.
- Outgoing port 25 is shut on every server, permanently, to keep spam out; ports 465 and 587 to mail providers work.
- Using a server's IP addresses for anything the acceptable use policy bans is a breach of these terms.
10. What may I run on a server?
The acceptable use policy decides, and it binds you under these terms. Prohibited: spam or bulk email, phishing, malware or botnet control, DDoS or other attacks, scanning or brute-forcing systems you do not own, booter or stresser services, carding or fraud, child sexual abuse material, cryptocurrency mining, IPTV or the public distribution of films, series, music, games or software you hold no rights to, and any service to sanctioned people or companies. Tor relays are allowed, exit relays included. Your responsibility extends to every guest virtual machine and to every person you let onto the server.
11. Which law applies, and what happens to copyright notices?
Copperstrait is operated by DomaineGoat LLC, incorporated in Panama and answerable to Panamanian law only. The datacenter in each city is bound by the law of the place it stands in. We do not process DMCA notices or other foreign copyright notices: the law of Panama and the orders of its courts are the only ones that bind us.
The datacenter in Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo answers to the law of its own place, and its network equipment is not ours to control. We hand over records only on the order of a Panamanian court. The privacy policy lists every record that exists; none of them is a connection log, a traffic log or a visitor's or customer's IP address. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
12. When is a server suspended, and how do I appeal?
We suspend a server in two cases only:
- its term runs out without a renewal (section 7);
- it runs something the acceptable use policy forbids.
Foreign copyright notices, the DMCA among them, are not processed; Panamanian law and Panamanian court orders decide. Spam, phishing, malware, botnet control, attacks and child sexual abuse material are prohibited and end in suspension. The dashboard shows a suspended server as suspended. Remaining days on a server stopped for a breach are not credited, since only the refund policy's cases give credit. Appeals go by email to [email protected], with the server's IP address and its ORD-… reference. Cancelling your servers ends the contract whenever you choose.
13. What availability is promised?
No uptime figure is promised. Maintenance, hardware faults, the datacenter's network or events beyond our control can stop a server. No DDoS mitigation is promised beyond what the datacenter network applies by itself. If support cannot revive a failed server, its lost days are credited to your balance. Plans, cities and systems may be added or withdrawn for new orders; a term already paid is not affected.
14. What warranty comes with the service?
The service is supplied "as is" and "as available", with no warranty that a server fits a given purpose. Nor do we promise that other services will accept its IP address. Geolocation databases may also map that address to an unexpected city or country.
15. How is liability limited?
To the extent Panamanian law permits, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential damage, lost profits and lost data. Whatever the claim, our payment is capped at what 30 days of the server in question cost. Liability that Panamanian law forbids us to exclude remains.
16. When must I cover your costs?
A third party may claim against us over your breach of these terms or of the rules on acceptable use. You then bear the reasonable costs and losses.
17. Which courts decide disputes?
The law of the Republic of Panama governs these terms and the service. The courts of Panama have sole jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
18. How can these terms change, and which language prevails?
This version is dated 2 November 2026. Revisions are possible; the date at the head of this page tells you which text applies. From that day it governs new orders, renewals and further use. Where a translation and the English text disagree, the English text decides.
19. How do I reach you?
- Support: [email protected]. A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with SSH keys, RAID, reinstalls and firewall rules.
- Abuse reports: [email protected].
- Identify a server by its ORD-… reference or its IP address; your account number never belongs in an email. The contact page explains what each email should contain.
