Quick answer

What should I know before renting a Copperstrait server in Asia?

Before renting a Copperstrait server in Asia, know four things. It is a whole machine in Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo, from $143.25 per 30 days, at prices set on 2 November 2026. Payment is crypto, with no KYC. A person prepares it within 72 hours of payment confirmation. No China-optimised route is sold, and mainland China is not served.

How would you sum up Copperstrait in a paragraph?

Copperstrait rents dedicated servers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, paid in crypto with no KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents. Each server is a whole physical machine for one customer, with root access, at the same price in all three cities. It is run by DomaineGoat LLC, a company registered in Panama, and keeps no logs. Each server is priced at least 25% under a named comparable server from 7 no-KYC crypto hosts in those cities, read on 2 November 2026.

The same machine costs the same in all three cities. Elsewhere, the city changes the bill. At the Strait 16 floor, the median no-KYC crypto host asked $425.00 a month in Hong Kong on 2 November 2026. Singapore came to $903.51, Tokyo to $662.35. Strait 16 costs $143.25 in each. The method is on how Copperstrait works.

What do people ask about price?

How much does a Copperstrait server cost?

Strait 16 $143.25, Strait 32 $356.25, Strait 32F $828.68, each for 30 days and the same in every city. There is no setup fee, on the first order or on any renewal. Longer terms cost less: Rent a server for 30 days, 3 months (91 days, 10% off), 6 months (182 days, 20% off) or 12 months (365 days, 30% off): a longer term is the 30-day price times 3, 6 or 12, less the discount, rounded down to the cent (Strait 16: $386.77 for 3 months, $687.60 for 6, $1,203.30 for 12). A renewal keeps your term and starting price unless you pick another term for the next renewal in the dashboard. Every plan is on the Copperstrait pricing page. A 12-month term of Strait 16 costs $1,203.30 in total.

How are Copperstrait prices set?

From a dated survey: the cheapest server at each plan's floor, in any of the three cities, minus at least 25%. Strait 16 was set against MonoVM in Singapore, at $191.00 a month. The full rule: Each server is priced at least 25% under a named reference server (prices read on 2 November 2026): Strait 16 against MonoVM's “AMD EPYC 7302 (Singapore)” at $191.00 a month; Strait 32 against KoDDoS's “EPYC-9354-768GB-3.84TB-NVMe-10Gbps-Hong-Kong” at $475.00 a month; Strait 32F against Cherry Servers's “AMD EPYC 9375F (Singapore)” at $1,104.91 a month. The reference is the comparable dedicated server with the smallest monthly price in Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo among 7 hosts that accept crypto without asking for ID at signup: it reaches the server's comparison floor (Strait 16: at least 16 cores, 64 GB of memory and 1.9 TB of SSD or NVMe; Strait 32: at least 32 cores, 384 GB of memory and 3.8 TB of SSD or NVMe; Strait 32F: at least 32 cores, 384 GB of memory and 10 TB of SSD or NVMe) with a port of 1 Gbit/s or more, at least 10 TB of traffic, a CPU from 2018 or later, one IPv4 address, monthly billing and stock shown. City surcharges are included, setup fees are spread over twelve months; hosts that ask for ID or take no crypto do not count, nor does AliasVPS; euro prices are converted at 1 EUR = 1.1172 USD (ECB, 2026-10-30).

Can I test a server free, or get my money back?

No free trial is offered; Strait 16, the smallest server, costs $143.25 for 30 days. Credits follow the refund policy: If we cannot deliver a server, or it fails and support cannot restore it, the days it was out of service are put back on your balance. Balances never expire. Top-ups are not paid out unless the law requires it; whatever was paid only to reach the minimum top-up can be returned on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC, if still unspent. Check the processor, memory and disks of a plan before you pay.

What do people ask about the cities and the network?

Which cities can I choose?

Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo (Japan): every server in every city, at the same price. You pick the city at checkout. The page on the best server location for users across Asia helps you choose by where your users live. The datacenter in each city is bound by local law, so the city also decides which law applies to the machine.

What network does each server get?

Every server has a 1 Gbit/s port with a monthly traffic allowance (Strait 16 20 TB, Strait 32 20 TB, Strait 32F 30 TB), one dedicated IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64; going past the allowance never triggers an automatic bill. No China-optimised route (CN2) is sold. Outgoing port 25 is shut on every server, permanently, to keep spam out; ports 465 and 587 to mail providers work. No DDoS mitigation is promised beyond what the datacenter network applies by itself.

What is the ping from each city?

We publish no latency or speed figures of our own: we have not measured them. Test from where your users are once the server is yours. Our page on latency between Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo quotes public measurements and names each source.

Which systems can I install?

Install Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux, or Proxmox VE to split the machine into your own virtual servers. Windows is not offered. Images on offer: Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10 and Proxmox VE 9. On two-disk servers the system is mirrored in software RAID 1 unless you ask support, before delivery, for RAID 0 or separate disks.

What do people ask about payment and KYC?

Which coins does Copperstrait accept?

BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, with a minimum top-up of $25. Neither Monero nor Lightning is taken. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your servers. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it. The page on Asian hosts that accept Bitcoin or USDT compares the others.

Do I need to verify my identity?

No. No KYC: you upload no ID, no selfie and no documents, and give no card or phone number. An account number is enough to sign in; adding an email address is up to you. In Copperstrait's survey of 33 Asian bare-metal sellers on 2 November 2026, 3 demanded ID before handing over a server. Another 16 kept the right to ask in some cases. See renting a server in Asia without ID checks.

Can a lost account number be recovered?

Your account number is the key to your account, so store it well. If you add an email it can be recovered; if you do not, a lost number is gone for good. Keep the number in a password manager.

What do people ask about delivery and access?

How long does delivery take?

Someone on the team sets the machine up once your payment is confirmed, within 72 hours, so delivery is not instant; the dashboard tracks it until the IP address shows. Paid days count from delivery. Among the surveyed sellers, the median stated maximum was 48 hours, with promises ranging from 3 minutes to 10 business days.

How do I log in?

Root over SSH from the first minute: add a public key at checkout and password login stays disabled, or leave it out and a temporary root password comes with the server, to be changed when you first log in. Paste your SSH public key at checkout, never the private one. No IPMI or KVM-over-IP console is given to customers; the team runs the reboots and reinstalls you request in the dashboard.

What do people ask about China?

Does Copperstrait sell CN2 GIA or China-optimised routes?

No. No CN2 line is sold on any server, in any city. Of 33 Asian bare-metal sellers surveyed, 7 sold CN2 or China-optimised routes. What CN2 GIA is explains who needs one.

Can I order from mainland China?

No. We do not serve residents or companies of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Yemen or Western Sahara, nor the occupied regions of Ukraine. This rule covers residents and companies, whatever city the server is in.

What will Copperstrait never ask for?

No identity, and no secrets. No KYC: you upload no ID, no selfie and no documents, and give no card or phone number. No form asks for your name, your address or your date of birth.

Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat. A message that asks for any of them is not from us, whatever its sender address. Support writes only from [email protected], and the contact page lists both addresses.
