The path from a crypto payment to root access, the survey that sets every price, and how support and abuse reports are handled.

**Quick answer — How does Copperstrait work, from order to a running server?**

**Copperstrait** works in four steps. You top up a crypto balance with no KYC and order a server in Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo. A person prepares it within 72 hours of payment confirmation. You log in as root over SSH. Plans start at $143.25 per 30 days, priced from Copperstrait's survey dated 2 November 2026.

## At a glance

| Attribute | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Operator | DomaineGoat LLC, Panama |
| Payment | Crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC; minimum top-up $25 |
| Identity | No KYC: you upload no ID, no selfie and no documents, and give no card or phone number |
| Setup | 72 hours at most from payment confirmation, by a person |
| Access | Root over SSH from the first minute: add a public key at checkout and password login stays disabled, or leave it out and a temporary root password comes with the server, to be changed when you first log in |
| Price survey | 33 Asian bare-metal sellers, read on 2 November 2026 |
| Support | support@copperstrait.com |
| Abuse reports | abuse@copperstrait.com |

## What happens after payment, until the server runs?

1. **Top up in crypto** — Choose your server at checkout, then pay in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC: the top-up is set to the price of your order. Minimum top-up $25.
2. **Payment credited** — Your balance is credited once the payment is checked on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation time: BTC ≈ 20 min · USDT TRC-20 ≈ 1 min · USDT ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · USDC ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · ETH ≈ 5 min · SOL ≈ 1 min · LTC ≈ 15 min.
3. **A person prepares your server** (within 72 h) — Someone on the team sets up your server in the location and with the system you chose, within 72 hours of the confirmed payment. Locations: Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo.
4. **IP address and root access in your dashboard** — The IP address appears in your dashboard. Root logs in with your SSH key, or with a temporary root password shown there if you gave no key. `ssh root@<server IP>`

## What does the team do after I order?

**Nothing is automatic: a person builds your server once the payment is confirmed.**

- **Preparation:** Someone on the team sets the machine up once your payment is confirmed, within 72 hours, so delivery is not instant; the dashboard tracks it until the IP address shows.
- **Disks:** On two-disk servers the system is mirrored in software RAID 1 unless you ask support, before delivery, for RAID 0 or separate disks.
- **Login:** Root over SSH from the first minute: add a public key at checkout and password login stays disabled, or leave it out and a temporary root password comes with the server, to be changed when you first log in.
- **Console:** No IPMI or KVM-over-IP console is given to customers; the team runs the reboots and reinstalls you request in the dashboard.
- **Later requests:** Use the dashboard to ask for a reboot, a reinstall or a cancellation, and the team carries it out; a reinstall clears every disk.
- **Fees:** There is no setup fee, on the first order or on any renewal.

The clock on your paid days starts at delivery, not at payment. A server that cannot be prepared is never charged: its price stays on your balance.

## How does Copperstrait choose the servers it compares against?

**Every plan has a comparison floor, and only servers that reach it count.** The floors are:

- **Strait 16:** at least 16 cores, 64 GB of memory and 1.9 TB of SSD or NVMe.
- **Strait 32:** at least 32 cores, 384 GB of memory and 3.8 TB of SSD or NVMe.
- **Strait 32F:** at least 32 cores, 384 GB of memory and 10 TB of SSD or NVMe.

A server must also pass rules on the host and on the plan. The host must accept crypto, ask for no ID at signup and not be under sanctions. The plan must be real bare metal with at least one IPv4 address and monthly billing. It must be shown in stock, with a port of 1 Gbit/s or more and at least 10 TB of traffic. Its processor must date from 2018 or later.

**Of 950 Asian plans recorded on 2 November 2026, only 83 passed every rule.** 58% belonged to hosts with no confirmed crypto payment for servers. Prices were read on public pages only, with no account and no order placed.

## What did the survey find for each plan?

The cheapest server that reached each floor, in any of the three cities, and the Copperstrait price set at least 25% below it.

| Plan | Comparison floor | Cheapest at the floor | Its monthly price | Hosts at the floor | Copperstrait price | Saving |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Strait 16 | at least 16 cores, 64 GB of memory and 1.9 TB of SSD or NVMe | MonoVM, Singapore | $191.00 | 7 | $143.25 | 25% |
| Strait 32 | at least 32 cores, 384 GB of memory and 3.8 TB of SSD or NVMe | KoDDoS, Hong Kong | $475.00 | 3 | $356.25 | 25% |
| Strait 32F | at least 32 cores, 384 GB of memory and 10 TB of SSD or NVMe | Cherry Servers, Singapore | €989.00 ($1,104.91) | 2 | $828.68 | 25% |

## How are city surcharges and fees counted?

**The price we compare is what the host charges in that city, surcharges and setup fees included.** Some hosts add a fee per location on the order page, above the price their tables show. MonoVM's EPYC 7302 machine showed $135 as its base price, then $191 in Singapore and $478 in Tokyo on the order page.

- **City surcharges:** included, with one entry per city when prices differ.
- **Setup fees:** divided by twelve, then added to each month.
- **Euro prices:** converted at 1 EUR = 1.1172 USD (ECB, 2026-10-30).
- **Excluded hosts:** those that ask for ID at signup or take no crypto.

5 of the crypto hosts take payment through Cryptomus or Heleket, which the UK designated on 8 October 2026. They stay in the comparison.

## Why does one price cover three cities?

**The target is set against the cheapest city, so the same price wins in the other two.** The cheapest server at the Strait 16 floor cost €310.00 ($346.33) in Hong Kong (RedSwitches), $191.00 in Singapore (MonoVM) and €354.00 ($395.49) in Tokyo (RedSwitches). Strait 16 costs $143.25 in each.

At the Strait 32F floor, no surveyed host sold a server in Hong Kong. The Singapore price, €989.00 ($1,104.91) at Cherry Servers, set the reference. The [Hong Kong price page](https://copperstrait.com/hong-kong-dedicated-server-price/ "What a dedicated server in Hong Kong costs per month, dated") and the page on [the cheapest dedicated server hosting in Asia](https://copperstrait.com/cheap-dedicated-server-asia/ "Cheapest bare-metal servers in Asia, compared on 2 November 2026") show the city detail. Every plan is on the [Copperstrait pricing page](https://copperstrait.com/pricing/ "Copperstrait dedicated server plans and prices per 30 days").

## How does support work?

**Support is email, read and answered by a person.** Write to support@copperstrait.com about an order, a payment, SSH keys, RAID or a server that stopped. A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with SSH keys, RAID, reinstalls and firewall rules. Support works in English.

Reports of misuse go to abuse@copperstrait.com, a separate inbox. Name a server by its order reference or its IP address. Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat. The [contact page](https://copperstrait.com/contact/ "Reach Copperstrait support or the abuse desk by email") shows what a useful email contains.

## What does Copperstrait not measure or promise?

**We publish only what we can back with a source.**

- **Latency:** We publish no latency or speed figures of our own: we have not measured them. Test from where your users are once the server is yours.
- **Uptime:** no figure is promised or published.
- **Attacks:** No DDoS mitigation is promised beyond what the datacenter network applies by itself.
- **Backups:** Backups are not part of the service: keep copies of your data on another machine.
- **China routes:** no CN2 line is sold. We do not serve residents or companies of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Yemen or Western Sahara, nor the occupied regions of Ukraine.

## How we work: short answers

### How long does a Copperstrait server take to be ready?

Someone on the team sets the machine up once your payment is confirmed, within 72 hours, so delivery is not instant; the dashboard tracks it until the IP address shows. Across the 33 surveyed sellers, the median stated maximum was 48 hours, within a range of 3 minutes to 10 business days.

### Does Copperstrait ask for ID at any point?

No. No KYC: you upload no ID, no selfie and no documents, and give no card or phone number. An account number is enough to sign in; adding an email address is up to you.

### Which date do the prices rest on?

The survey of 2 November 2026. Every competitor price on the site shows the date it was read. A term you have paid keeps its price, whatever a later survey finds.

### What happens when my paid term ends?

You pay each server ahead from your crypto balance for one of four lengths picked at checkout: 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. With auto-renew on, that length is charged again at your starting price, unless you switch the next renewal to another length in the dashboard; if the balance cannot pay it, the server powers off when the length runs out, keeps its disks for 7 days, then is wiped.

### Can I choose the disk layout?

Yes, before delivery. On two-disk servers the system is mirrored in software RAID 1 unless you ask support, before delivery, for RAID 0 or separate disks. Email support with the order reference while the server is being prepared.
