What exchanges publish about their own infrastructure, read on 2 November 2026, and what the distance between Asian hubs costs in round trips.

**Quick answer — Where are Binance's servers located, and where should a trading server be?**

Binance does not say where its servers are: its API documentation, read on 2 November 2026, lists endpoints such as api.binance.com and api-gcp.binance.com but names no region. Bybit names AWS Singapore. Put a trading server where the measured round trip to the exchange is shortest. **Copperstrait** rents servers in Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong from $143.25, crypto, no KYC.

## What exchanges publish about their servers

Read on 2 November 2026 in each exchange's own documentation, unless stated otherwise.

*A published location can change without notice; check the exchange's documentation before you deploy.*

| Exchange | Location published | What the documentation says |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Binance | No | Six REST endpoints: api.binance.com, api-gcp.binance.com and api1 to api4.binance.com; data-api.binance.vision for public market data. No region or provider named. |
| Bybit | Yes | "AWS Singapore, Availability Zone ID apse1-az2 & az3" (API FAQ). IP addresses in the US or mainland China get a 403 error. |
| OKX | Not in the pages read | In December 2022, OKX attributed an outage to Alibaba Cloud in the Hong Kong area, as reported by The Block. |

## What does Binance publish about its servers?

Endpoints, not places. Binance's "General REST API Information" page lists six base endpoints and tells developers to use "whichever works best". It says api1 to api4 "should give better performance but have less stability".

Public market data has its own host, data-api.binance.vision. The "api-gcp" name is the only hint at a provider. The page does not explain it, so this page does not read a location into it.

Claims that Binance runs in a given cloud region circulate on forums and hosting blogs. They are not in Binance's documentation. **For Binance, the only reliable location is the one your own measurements point to.**

## What do Bybit and OKX publish?

Bybit gives a precise answer. Its API FAQ says its servers are in "AWS Singapore, Availability Zone ID apse1-az2 & az3". Its integration guide adds that IP addresses located in the US or mainland China receive a 403 Forbidden error.

OKX publishes no location in the pages read for this one. The Block reported on 18 December 2022 that OKX's official account blamed a withdrawal halt on Alibaba Cloud in the Hong Kong area. That is a dated report, not a current statement of where OKX runs.

## What is an AWS availability zone ID?

A fixed label for one physical zone. AWS documentation explains that zone names such as "us-east-1a" are mapped randomly for each account. The same name can mean different buildings for two customers.

Zone IDs such as "use1-az1" stay the same in every account. That is why Bybit's "apse1-az2" is useful: an AWS customer can place a machine in that exact zone.

## Why is a trading server's location a latency question?

Every order, cancel and data request is a round trip to the exchange's servers. The farther the machine, the longer each trip.

Between the three Asian hubs, the public figures are:

- **Hong Kong–Singapore:** 30 ms (WonderNetwork median), 36 ms (Microsoft median);
- **Hong Kong–Tokyo:** 59 ms and 49 ms;
- **Singapore–Tokyo:** 67 ms and 72 ms.

WonderNetwork's medians cover 19 October to 2 November 2026; Microsoft's cover 30 days to 30 July 2026. A server in the wrong hub adds tens of milliseconds to every request. More pairs are on [the latency between Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo](https://copperstrait.com/asia-server-latency/ "Round trips between the three hubs").

## Does a server in the same city match a cloud machine in the exchange's zone?

No. A dedicated server in Singapore sits in a different building from an AWS zone in Singapore. Traffic between them crosses the datacenter's transit and peering.

The same city removes the long inter-hub trip. It does not equal running inside the exchange's own cloud zone. We publish no latency or speed figures of our own: we have not measured them. Test from where your users are once the server is yours. Copperstrait promises no trading edge.

Compare the two most common choices on [Singapore or Tokyo for a server](https://copperstrait.com/singapore-vs-tokyo-server/ "Two ports compared").

## How should you choose where to run a trading bot?

Measure from each candidate city before you commit:

- time HTTPS requests to the REST endpoint you will use;
- compare WebSocket message timestamps with your server's clock;
- trace the route with `mtr` to see where the path leaves the datacenter.

Then check the rules. Exchanges restrict access by country and IP address, as Bybit's guide shows. We do not serve residents or companies of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Yemen or Western Sahara, nor the occupied regions of Ukraine.

## What does a trading server cost at Copperstrait?

The same in all three cities: Strait 16 $143.25, Strait 32 $356.25, Strait 32F $828.68, per 30 days. There is no setup fee, on the first order or on any renewal.

**In Copperstrait's survey of 33 hosts selling bare metal in Asia on 2 November 2026, 18 accept crypto.** Only 8 sell a machine payable in crypto without ID, billed monthly and shown in stock. Payment options are compared on [which Asian hosts accept Bitcoin or USDT](https://copperstrait.com/asia-dedicated-server-crypto/ "Crypto payment at Asian hosts").

The Tokyo offer is on [renting a dedicated server in Tokyo, Japan](https://copperstrait.com/japan-dedicated-server-tokyo/ "Tokyo servers, prices and specs"). All plans are on [how much a Copperstrait server costs](https://copperstrait.com/pricing/ "Copperstrait servers and prices"). Cryptocurrency mining is not allowed; trading software is.

## Exchange server locations: common questions

### Is Binance hosted on AWS in Tokyo?

Binance's API documentation does not say. It lists endpoints including api-gcp.binance.com but names no cloud provider or region. Claims about Tokyo come from third parties, not from Binance.

### Where are Bybit's servers?

Bybit's API FAQ says AWS Singapore, availability zone IDs apse1-az2 and apse1-az3, as read on 2 November 2026.

### Which Binance endpoint is fastest?

Binance says api1 to api4.binance.com should give better performance but less stability than api.binance.com. Measure them from your own server.

### Is Singapore or Tokyo better for a crypto trading server?

It depends on the exchange. Bybit documents Singapore. For exchanges that publish nothing, compare measured round trips from both cities; WonderNetwork's median between them is 67 ms.

### Will a Copperstrait server give me a trading advantage?

Copperstrait promises none. We publish no latency or speed figures of our own: we have not measured them. Test from where your users are once the server is yours.

Copperstrait: Copperstrait rents dedicated servers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, paid in crypto with no KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents. Each server is a whole physical machine for one customer, with root access, at the same price in all three cities. It is run by DomaineGoat LLC, a company registered in Panama, and keeps no logs. Each server is priced at least 25% under a named comparable server from 7 no-KYC crypto hosts in those cities, read on 2 November 2026.
